Kyrie Irving Will Have His Very Own Nike Dunk Low

Kyrie Irving is well-known for being a “box office” player. The Brooklyn Nets guard’s affinity for the Nike Dunk Low is less well-known. Soon, the soon-to-be 30-year-old will be able to boast about having his own colorway of Peter Moore’s renowned design.

Irving, a New Jersey native, donned the made-for-skate Dunk off the court before figures like Travis Scott helped drive Nike SB products from decades ago into unprecedented territory within the aftermarket. (Several Nike Kyrie basketball shoes have also been influenced by some of the most classic SB designs.) Although there is still a lot of mystery around Irving’s Dunk Low, it looks that the first pair revealed is not SB. The majority of the shoe mimics the “White/University Blue” style that has become increasingly popular in recent years. On the tongue, Kyrie Irving logos replace traditional branding, while the “NIKE” text at the heel also has a vibrant red flair. In a cream color with an “11”-like design (Irving’s jersey number), the underlays at the collar stand out from the rest of the garment.

Finally, the Air Jordan 1-inspired outsoles provide a red clay vibe to the mix. The brand hasn’t revealed any firm Nike SNKRS details, but that’s expected to change as summer approaches. Meanwhile, thanks to Instagram user @woganwodeyang, you can get a sneak peek at the duo ahead.
