Despite the fact that the guy behind it will not play many games during the 2021-22 NBA season, the Nike Kyrie Infinity has a robust release roster. Kyrie Irving’s seventh signature sneaker with the Swoosh comes in a “Smoke and Mirrors” colorway that includes “White,” “Iron Grey,” and “Light Marine” tones.
The next release, which is likely inspired by the Brooklyn Nets guard’s ability to mislead defenders with his great handles and rapid rotations, uses a “colorless” tone to mask the majority of the performance-inspired mesh and synthetic leather featured across the upper. The elastic bands that stretch across the tongue and the textile construction at the tip of the toe are a contrasting light blue that flirts with the ever-popular “University Blue” that has helped NIKE, Inc. attract new audiences over the last five years. The tops of tongues, profile logo, and accents all have a distinct “Iron Grey” color that serves to create a smokey look across the outsole. Surprisingly, the details underfoot also go for a bright yellow tint, which helps to bring Irving’s latest basketball sneaker to life.
Enjoy official photographs of the pair below, and stay tuned for a Nike.com release in the United States as the NBA season draws to a close (mid-April).
