As part of its 25th-anniversary celebration, the Nike Air Max 97 will be released in its original “Silver Bullet” colorway, but it will also be available in non-OG but enticing styles in 2022. Consider the following example: A new pink and white costume created partly from recycled materials has debuted.
The new sneakers, which are presumably women’s-only, feature a subtle rose tone over their mesh and synthetic leather upper. Mudguards and vamp overlays wear the darkest colors in the mix, yet they don’t take away from the overall aesthetic of the pair. Though the swoosh emblems and other branding hits nearby deviate in a white tone, the tongue detailing and pull tabs at the tongue and heel follow suit. Underfoot, the sole units are similarly straightforward, with Air Max bubbles donning a cream tint.
Part of the foam and rubber components found underfoot are made from up-cycled resources, as represented by the swoosh wheel graphic on the sock-liner, similar to previous Next Nature offerings. While you wait for definitive Nike.com release details, enjoy official photographs of the pair below.
